Once you register a profile and start to search the profiles of others, you will certainly begin to interact with others on this site. It should be a fun and positive experience for you, and even a romantic one, if that is what you are looking for.

As a full member you have the additional option of using one of our chat rooms, which is a totally different experience, responding in real time to what others are saying. Single parents are amazing people! They somehow manage to do on their own what the rest of us struggle to do together! Even with Gods Grace daily, a whole heap of prayer and the knowledge that he really is in control! It is all still a big uphill struggle. Many of these people deserve support and admiration which they so often do not get.

This chat room is dedicated to single parents so that they can communicate, encourage, help and support each other. They all have different reasons why they are single with children and we need to acknowledge and accept that. Their needs are unique and may not be understood by others who are in a totally different situation.

This dedicated chat room is for them and should be a blessing to them.

Some of the chat rooms have been separated into specific ages, just to make it easier for people of a similar age, who are likely to share views and interests etc to meet up with each other.

At the end of the day, this is all supposed to be fun, we are not like the under age police! and will not be asking you to leave if you are outside the age parameters. T

Everyone on this site is a Christian who has professed a faith in God and a Love of Jesus Christ. For that reason, every one of us owes respect and honour to every other member. This verse, is a great foundation for use of this site.

WRITING YOUR PROFILE

Take your time when editing your profile. It is the first impression that people get of you, and we all know that first impressions are important.

Here are a few key things to think about.

Be Honest: Everyone is different and honesty is the best policy, don’t pretend to be outgoing and talkative, if you are shy and quiet. That is how God made you, so celebrate it! Someone out there will love you for who you are.

As this is a specifically Christian site, say something about how important this is to you, your role in your church and the importance of it all in your life.

Talk about your hobbies and a few key points that are very important to you, do you love animals, children, travel or books.

Try to include a couple of questions that other members can respond to i.e “ I recently visited London, and thought it was an amazing city. Where have you been that you loved” Or, “ I recently visited London, have you been there? What did you think? Try to invite a response, just like you would in a first conversation.

Post this comment in the travel forum, as well as your profile, and don’t forget to load some pictures as well.

You have room in your profile for many pictures, and they do not need to all be of you staring at the camera. Include a variety of photos, but please do not upload photos of other people without their express permission.

Other than your profile use the other facilities available on the site to highlight these things i.e in the groups and forums. Someone might miss your profile through a search, but find it through a forum post or one of the groups.

When you are happy with your profile, get busy!!!!!!!!! Be as active as you can and give people the maximum opportunity to connect with you.

This site has some great facilities, so use them, search profiles and send mail, don’t wait for others to contact you, take the initiative, send a message and make someone’s day!

Take a genuine interest in other members by asking questions about the information in their profiles. By asking a question, you are likely to get an answer! Join our chat rooms, post forums and join the groups that interest you.

FORUMS

Forum is message board, where people can post replies to many different topics.

One of the things a lot of people find difficult is how to add a picture to a forum post. Here is a short manual:

Upload your image to any image hosting service such as PhotoBucker or Flickr (please refer to guides on those sites for upload instructions)
Once your image(s) is uploaded and you know the URL (address) of the image, you can add it to your post
In order to do so, start a new topic, post a reply or edit one of your own posts
To insert a picture, click on the image button on the toolbar at the top of the text box
An "Insert/edit" image window will appear
Enter the address of your image into the "Image URL" field
Click on the preview area at the button to see the image. If the URL is correct, your image should appear in the preview box. If it is not there, please check the URL and try again.
Once the image appeared in the preview box, you can configure some additional settings such as image alignment etc. Please note that those settings are only for experiences users, please feel free to use them in case you are familliar with them.
Once you are happy with your image, click the "Insert" button at the bottom-left of the window

Please note: this feature is provided so that users can create better good-looking posts with images. In case the use of this feature will not be in line with our Terms & Conditions, it can be removed from the forums completely.

In other words - use nice non-offensive pictures and don't link huge ones to your posts or they will be deleted from our forums. Be creative!
